Erin and Jeremy’s Wedding- Colton, WA Red Barn

September 29, 2009

I had a great time photographing Erin & Jeremy’s wedding at the beautiful Red Barn Farms in Colton.   It wasn’t just the  fantastic western decor that impressed me, but the general attitude of Erin and Jeremy and their families.  They were gracious and friendly and they were truly a pleasure to spend the day with.

One of my favorite new ideas that took place at this wedding was the carmelled apples served; instead of cake…. so during the traditional time of cutting the cake;  they sliced their apples with an apple slicer!… So cool.

Congrats to a truly genuine, and down to earth couple. (After you push play, please give it a few seconds to load…)

My dog Max

September 18, 2009

8:00 pm yesterday my dog Max seemed to have a distended stomach and he had not been himself.  This is a dog who hardly ever grimaces– even when he suffered from a torn  cranial cruciate ligament he hardly showed any pain.  With several oddities we decided to take Max in to WSU Veterinary Clinic.    After multiple tests we were told that he more than likely had Hemangiosarcoma– a malignant, rare, rapidly growing, highly invasive variety of cancer….

Max died September 17th at around 3:30 am.   He seriously was the best dog I have ever had….  and I was told very often that he was the most laid back and gentle dog anyone had ever seen.   He was easy going– and was a lot of fun.  He let kids play anything they wanted to with him.  He was a great fishing, hiking, backpacking, and outdoor buddy.  He will be missed.   My husband and I have created a slide show in his honor…..
