I will be photographing Shelbie & Daniels wedding later this summer. It was a pleasure getting to know them, and their Chocolate Lab– Hank. Here are just a few images from their engagement session…
Sarah - Dodeline Design: Hi there! I created the sign for Nikki's save the date. She sent me your website and I just wanted to say AWESOME job on the photos! Your work is gorgeous!
Annie and Phil are a sweet and adorable couple… and they are gamers. So it shouldn’t seem surprising that Phil used a game to propose–let me explain. Phil reprogrammed a Super Nintendo game to propose!! He worked very long and hard. Not only did it grab Annie’s attention, but it has grabbed recognition around the world! If you haven’t seen it, google “I proposed by hacking Chrono Trigger” and you will see his very unique proposal.
I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at WSU. It was beautiful. Below are some moments from their wedding… enjoy!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Mason. I photographed Mason’s parents’ wedding and so it it was cool to meet and photograph the newest addition to their family.
Mason entertained me with a variety of expressions.. enjoy the slideshow!
I found a cool wedding cost estimator tool online. I have provided a page on my blog dedicated to the tool. Just click the tab labeled “WEDDING COST ESTIMATOR,” at the top of this blog.
I like this budgeting tool because the prices are based on surveys from real brides who told them what they spent for their wedding. It is not based on pricing provided by vendors.
The wedding cost estimator asks you for your zip code and then you check mark the options that you want in your wedding, and voila!… You have an estimate of what your wedding will cost. I like the tool because it adds the costs that are easy to miss when budgeting– like cuff links and thank you notes.
Just check it out
Why have an engagement session?
The engagement session is a great way for me and you to get acquainted, and ultimately will help you become more relaxed with me on your wedding day. Also, you’ll need a photo to announce your marriage in the newspaper, right?
What’s a typical session like?
I shoot engagement sessions on location; so join me for a few hours and we can find locations that bring out the best of you and your fiancé–talking and interacting in a place that brings out the best in both of you.
What are some ways we can display our engagement photos?
After the session there are many ways to incorporate your beautiful images. You can display your favorite image on a large canvas at your home, or you can display prints at your reception to show your guests your personality. I can also design a custom guest book for your wedding.
Scheduling the session:
Your engagement session can be taken anytime before you get married, but an important question you need to answer is “what do I want to do with the images?” If you want invitations with your photo, I recommend you have your engagement session photographed 6 to 10 months before your wedding date. If you are interested in a photo guest book you should get your portraits taken 4 to 6 months before your wedding. For prints, 2 months before your wedding gives you enough time to have prints made.
This space will serve as a space to share information about planning weddings and portraits. I will also share personal stories, projects, and photos.
